Guys-

I fell in love tonight with the Fender Deluxe Active P bass special. absolutely love the bass.

However...

The hideous gold pickguard makes me sick. I want to get the bass in "Blizzard pearl" which a whiteish silver, but that gold guard needs to go as soon as I get it into my house!

For those not familiar, the DA P special has 4 pots.. master vol, blend, stacked bass/treb and mid.. therefore not the normal p bass setup and i cannot find 4 knob p bass pickguards anywhere!

I need suggestions!!!

Hey there... I am in the same position as you. I have a black P-deluxe special that I would love to slap a new pickguard on, but I've had no luck finding pre-made replacements. There's a few sites out there that will make you a custom pickguard if you send them a tracing of yours, but I'm hoping to find a ready-made one. PM me if you find anything and I'll do the same.

Is it a normal size and shape P Bass guard? The reason I ask is that I have seen a P Bass guard with a fourth hole cut in it, for use with an extra controller.
