Greetings! First I gotta say I stole part of this ad from Riis, to whom I apologize.
So here goes ----
This is a Korean-made DeArmond Pilot 5 in near mint condition. Here's what I know about it:
*Ash or alder (?) body
*Bolt on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 35" scale
*Active J/J pups with three band preamp
*Weight 9.5 - 10 lbs
*Truss rod cover - none...but who cares?
What can I say? Its a nice looking instrument with a nice wide neck for people who like that sort of thing. I personally set her up so the action is comfortably low without fret buzz. She'd make a great first 5 banger or back-up. The quality is surprisingly good for a midrange priced MIK instrument.
Okay guys, I really need to sell this bass. I've just added Bart pickups it and IT ROCKS now for sure!
I'll have to raise the price a bit, but certainly within reason. Price is now $235 + shipping with the Barts installed. I no longer have the OEM pickups.
