For sale Trade Fretless Renaissance for Fretted or...

I have a lovely Rick Turner Renaissance Fretless (cedar top, walnut back & sides, 4 string) that I am most interested in trading for a fretted model. Will consider trading for an Electroline, or if you have another suggestion for me... Thanks!

I love the bass, but I'm just not taking a shine to fretless. It's not my style. I approached Rick about buying a fretted neck, and he said no way - that it would likely mess up the intonation, among other ills. So, I must part with it on the best terms that I can.

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......

Dude! Don't give up! You can DO it!!! Ya just gotta practice back and forth with your fretted to get a handle on playing in tune. And I think those Rens have fretlines, don't they?

*ahem* I'm OK, I'm ok...

Sorry to shout, but I can't stand to see someone give up on fretless -- ESPECIALLY with that peach you got there. Fretless is IMHO so rewarding from an expression standpoint that it is worth whatever work it takes to get it under control.

Izzat why? email me offline and let me know WHY you're unloading this bass. No, I'm not gonna try to talk you out of it... I'm just curious what it is about fretless that you're NOT "taking a shine to."

And if you still want to get rid of it -- can I have it?...
