It has an Aztech 16 bit sound card and a toshiba 8x CDROM. Also upgradeable for the right trade.

OK, one more post just to help define things a little better.

I'm sure many of you are more into bass equipment than computers, so here is the deal:

AMD 550 Mhz K6/2 Processor = Pentium based and plenty powerful to do most anything out there.
32meg of RAM = The more of this the better to a point. This can be upgraded. I think that Windows XP requires at least 128 meg. It currently has Win 98 on it.
4gig hard drive = This is where programs and data is stored. This too can be upgraded to just about any size.
Voodoo II Banshee PCI video card = This card will allow you to play all of the 3D games out there. This motherboard has an AGP slot in it so that you can upgrade to the latest GeForce if you want.
Aztech 16 bit sound card = CD quality recording and playback. Get some multi-track software and you have a recording studio! You can upgrade this to a Soundblaster Live/Audigy or even a professional sound card.
Network Card = Enables you to network with other computers.

You can also purchase an inexpensive modem and install it to surf the net.

I have a used 15" monitor available as well.


For trade purposes I would place the value on this system to be about equal to a MIM Fender bass or something in that range.

You'd think bassists on this forum would be just as hot to trade around computer gear as they are for the latest and greatest bass accessory.

I've got a real Jones for an SWR Interstellar Overdrive, and have offered to do equivalent value in new, hot-rod computer building.

I know some of the regulars here just gotta have some old dog equipment gathering dust.

If you don't want to do it for yourself, then get a PC for your kids or your parents.

If you already have a computer then get another one, network them together and do a little head to head gaming. Deal your buddies the Smackdown in football or Unreal Tournament! It's either that or let them attempt to "jam" on that dusty bass in the corner.
