.155 or .225?

I have a bag of .225 unplated straight and stretch ends available.

.155 I didn't even realize there were two sizes.

here's a photo of each type unplated brass plugs (these are .225)

the stretch plugs have a knurled end and are easier to grip.

But you only have the .225s, right? Are they compatible with the smaller wire?

yes..sorry, I only have the .225. It will not work with the .155 wire.

I was just trying to show you the difference between the two different types of straight plugs.

You will need .155 type plugs.

I use both gauges and find no difference in sound quality.
I like the .155 for pedal boards and the .225 for leads and rack patch cables. I rewired my entire home studio with .225
