My bass teacher has one of those.

I believe Bill Underwood still honors the warranty on those original issue pick-ups.

Thanks for the info Rick. Lemur gets 3 times your price for
the pickup plus shipping and it does not come with the
RCA plug which I was looking for. I'll keep looking and glad

Sorry for the goof on Underwood's first name.

Just a little history. I had the bass at one time the Underwood pickup was developed on, a nice 200 year old small German(which I'd love to buy back). The guy I bought it from got it from Underwood's partner and this guy still has the prototype which he won't sell. I don't recall if it had the RCA or 1/4" plug. My first Underwood has the RCA, and I bought another one used last year which has the later 1/4" on it. To my ears, the RCA one sounds better. Don't know if it's the plug or something else. I know you're all "wowed" by this, I just wanted to interject something of my experience while I was wasting time sitting at the computer.
