For sale Washburn Bantam/Steinberger copy from early '80s

Does anyone remember these? It was the first 'real' bass I ever bought, back in like '83 or '84, when I was still in high school. About 10 years ago, I traded it for a guitar, when I had the bright idea I was going to become a guitar player, and hadn't used the Washburn for a long time. I decided to try to find another one of these, just for sentimental value, but I can't seem to find anything about these anywhere. I seem to remember something about them being controversial, because at the time they made them, they were so close to the real Steinbergers, there was some kind of lawsuit or something, I really don't know, just stuff I heard. Are they really rare or valuable now, and did I make a collosal mistake by trading mine when I did? If anyone out there can point me in the direction of one of these, I'd appreciate it.
