I am looking to try out a 6 string bass. I have never even held one. I would rather not go to my local store, since I can't stand any of the people that work there and I just would rather buy from TB. Anyway, I am of course looking for as cheap as possible, since I am unsure as to if I can even play one of these monsters. I do not want to spend more than $150-$200. I know Cheap and Used. That is what everyone is looking for. I am not picky either.

Are you talking about that store on Green Bay by Highway 50? I am dealing with them right now on some bass matters and their policies are not helpful.
The only thing I can tell you is try EBAY. They usually have the Galveston's, Johnson's, or Brices in your price range.

I am talking about that store. They know less about gear than my 11 year old.:p They don't have a clue when it comes to basses or PA. I have been dealing with them for 26 years and the people they get to work there suck. I will only deal with the owner or the head back end manager Tom. But then again, they have known me since I was 14. I have looked on e-bay for a 6'er. I just would rather buy one from a TB'er who is either moving on to a better one or just not interested.

Their selection sucks. No diversity or varied selection of models. I bought a Yamaha BB615 from them that had bad electronics. I brought it back and had them order me a Peavey Cirrus BXP5 that I do not like. I took a chance when I ordered it and the string spacing is too tight for my taste. I want them to order me a KSD 5 string because they do not give you any refunds just store credit. I think they are going to give me a hard time about the exchange but I do not want to keep something I do not like. Why have a policy and you give me a hard time when I use it? They still keep my money in any case unlike GC or Sam Ash that give you a full refund within a certain amount of days.

That is the problem with MC. Anything they have to order you better make sure you want to keep. In their defense, they did have a lot of problems with people buying stuff and either not picking it up or returning it for the Money. They got scammed for quite a lot of money back in the early 90's. No excuses. I don't buy anything there. 3 of my band members were teachers there and I still don't buy anything from there. Unless, it is something that they are giving a good price and I don't feel like waiting for it to be delivered

They are going to hook me up with a good deal. They are going to let me return it and get me the KSD. For a real good price too. I am surprised.
