Hello!

I currently own an Eden Metro. It is WAY more power and quality than I need right now, or will in the future.

I would like to trade my Spector Q5-Pro for a combo. It has fresh strings on it, and is in great condition. The bass does not come with a case/gig bag. I did the 18v upgrade. It was done with the harness, so it is easily reversible. No scratches, or dents in the bass.

Or.........maybe someone wants to trade me some cash and their smaller combo for my Metro? How about a package deal of your combo/bass/cash for my combo/bass/cash??

I wouldn't say I have GAS, but I just want something different. I'm getting tired of looking at the same gear in my den.

What's the status of this stuff?

What would you give an APPROXIMATE value of that Metro so I know what I'm working with??

Status? The Metro is four years old, the bass is about three. I own it, it is in mint condition. Vince and I are working on a deal for his SWR and some cash, but nothing is for sure. At this point, both items are still available.

As far as value....the guys at BassNW sell used mint condition Metro's like mine for $1000. I got the same price from Bass Central. eBay, and street value is much closer to $900-950. You can go ahead and dig up the couple examples of the ones that sold for $750-850 recently, but I gaurantee you that are not in the same mint condition as mine. I can also dig up a several that have recently sold for $900-950. My Metro has been owned by TB guys it's entire life. I don't want to get into a battle over price. $900 is fair. All I want in return is something of equal value.

The Spector is a sweet bass. I love it, but I want to try something different. After this is all said and done, I am sure I will buy another Spector. It has new strings, and is in awesome shape. Not mint, I do play it. I am sure you'll find a scratch or ding if you stare long and hard at it, but hey, it is a working bass. It's value is about $350-400, so it isn't some conversation piece you take out when the friends come over.

I apologize if I sound snooty, or pissed off, but I just got done e-mailing a guy who went around and around with me about how the Metro is really only worth about $700. I'm not trying to make a killing on this deal. I just need a small combo and a sweet bass. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well, all I've got to offer is a Fender BXR60. I would estimate the value to be somewhere between $150 and $250, but there aren't very many of them around so I can't say that for sure. It's in *immaculate* condition as I take really good care of all of my gear. It's about 4 years old, but has never been pushed hard or anything like that.

I fully agree with you on the price of the Metro. You're not being snooty nor pissed off, so don't worry about it! I really don't see why you went "around and around" with a guy who thought you were asking too much--its up to you, not him!!!

Tell me what you might think about taking for the Fender-Spector trade. I think that'd be a pretty sweet bass to have. I'll think about it :)

You said you'd never get rid of that bass :-o..did you get a new one?
Woopssss...I did say that didn't I?? Well.....I am replacing it with a new one. I have a chance to trade the Metro straight up for a sweet five string Czech Spector. The only way I get rid of this Spector is to get another one, or a Conklin seven string.

Sorry Ty....I forgot to respond when I was replying to Scott. I don't think trading my Spector for the Fender would be in my best interest.

That's cool man :) I didn't really expect much, and I'm not even for sure that *I* would want to do it!!

Thanks! :)

hey
I have an Ampeg B100R in good shape, im the first owner, and its about 2.5 years old. Id be happy with the spector for it, or we could go as far as to trade the Ampeg plus my yamaha BB605 for the eden if youd be interested in that idea. IF you could think of anything else let me know if any combinations close to this would work out for you. PM me if you'd like, i do have other gear basses guitars other junk etc..
hope to hear from you soon.

I am now looking for a bass amp to trade for the Spector. The other option is a combo that I can add a cab to. I have a little cash to add in on my side. I need something to power one or two 112's.
