I turn 56 this year (2014) Music has been a thing for me for as long as I remember. Never had a lot of money for gear so it's been a challenge, you learn though that it's one thing you don't scrimp on, a bad instrument/amp can make your life a misery.
My working life has been a multitude of things from farmhand to truck driver to TA to most of the trades, I've been an illustrator for a local publishing company and I managed to make a living from music for a year.
I am married to my long suffering for 38 years and two people in their late thirties and one in his late twenties call me Dad, I have a couple of ten year old boys and one 7 year old girl that call me Pop and they have all grown up with my bands and have a appreciation for music themselves, two of them taking up an instrument.
The music has been a savior, I really can't imagine my life without it.
