    Replace My Alternately-Tuned 2nd Bass?

    I say keep it and put new strings on so you can tune it DADG. It might not even need a new nut, but if so, a new nut is much cheaper than a new bass.

    It really shouldn't hurt the bass, I don't think. You may need to adjust the truss rod, but the strings should put similar tension on the neck...
