    Birthday:

    Current Setup:
I'm a dedicated Precision Bass user. I own a 60th Anniversary Standard Series (that silver one, some friends of mine call it the glam rock bass). Ah, I forgot to mention my five-stringend Fender Jazz Bass, the first own bass I bought myself. But in the end I regret buying it a little, I do not use it anymore, just a little to have something to play on when I'm just fiddling around a little.
When it comes to amplification, I do not use anything special. I got a Warwick Take 12 combo for practicing at home and small jam sessions. On the gigs I've played I always used amplification equipment of other bassplayers. All in all, I do not care to much about amplification anyway. My fingers are what's giving me my own, individual, specific tone and hey, when you're playin' a P-Bass, all you need is something large to make your bass audible, that's enough for me.
    Gigs and Ensembles:
At the moment, I do not have a steady band, ensemble or whatsoever to play in.
    G.A.S. List:
Currently, I somehow got the feeling of being in need of a Jazz, a four-stringed one. I'd give away that five-stringed peace of wood for that.
But somehow I'd like to check out how I would get on with a fretless bass. Maybe there's a way of combining those to needs. ;)
    Influences and Teachers:
I have to say that I've been inspired by various bassplayers from various musical genres. I believe you can learn from every musician, no matter what kind of music he's into or which instrument he's playing. But to name some bassplayers who really mean something special to me and who really have influenced my style, here's a small list:
    - Geddy Lee (Rush)
    - Mike Mills (R.E.M.)
    - James Jamerson
    - Jack Bruce
    - Stanley Clarke
    - Louis Johnson
    Hobbies and Interests:
Reading, discussing political and social issues, cycling and of course the English language. ;)
