A vintage Tele bass and an American Special Honeyburst Precision. I smashed my index finger of my left hand in February of 2020. It's been near impossible to play bass. I've decided to hang on to just these two basses for now.
My rigs are an Ampeg SVT 3 Pro through a SVT 212 AV cabinet, or an Ampeg SVT Classic all tube monster which I run through one or two SVT 212 AV cabinets, depending on the venue. I have a Fender Bassman TV 12 combo that I primarily use with the acoustic based acts. I also own a SVT 810E cabinet, although with the two 212 AV cabs, it really is not needed.
- Favorite Genres:
- Rock, pop, blues, old soul, classic country, folk...
- Gigs and Ensembles:
- I'm without a gig for the first time in over forty years. I had a lead on a drum gig when covid-19 sidelined the project.
- Previously Owned Gear:
- Peavey, Schecter, Squier and Jackson basses, a Peavey TNT 160 and a Fender Bassman 400/Bassman 115 rig.
- G.A.S. List:
- I want for nothing.
- Influences and Teachers:
- I studied with a local bass teacher named Matt Booth until he moved to NOLA. I'm currently working my way through Roy Vogt's TMBG DVD course.
- Hobbies and Interests:
- My wife and I are both dog nuts and are involved in a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier rescue organization called Wheatens In Need (WIN).
