- 30+ years of experience on electric 4 string in almost any genre. 5 years experience music retail, experience with many different brands of gear; basses, amps, effects, etc.
I use electric bass, effects and looping to create lush tapestries for arrangements of popular songs, as well as improvisations on my own compositions. I like to slappa da bass and play fretless a little sharp. I also have begun taking students.
My approach to lessons is more of a coaching style than formal lesson format. I focus on goal oriented instruction and customizing exercises based on the level player the student is and what their goals are, as opposed to a homogenized one size fits all style of teaching. Lesson topics can vary greatly from student to student so I compartmentalize subjects into larger categories such as, Fretboard Basics, Picking Techniques, Music Theory, Gear, Sound Design, Recording and a vast array of other topics that 30+ years of professional gigging will give you perspective on.
