    SWR SM900 ('92 - '16 - R.I.P.) victim of a Furman AR117 - (smoke is bad!)

    Waiting for a light-weight, all-tube amp.

    "Biding my Time"
'61 or '62 stack-knob Fender Jazz (the Flea does quite nicely for now, but the day will come...)
    More vintage Fenders.
    More Everything!
    Influences and Teachers:
so many to list - (and different by era) List will expand as I think of more (of the less-obvious)
Roscoe Beck, Tommy Shannon, Keith Christopher
McCartney, Entwistle, Jaco, Geddy, JPJ, Ronnie Lane, Tom Petersson, Robert DeLeo
    as of 2017:
After a couple decades of my SWR Rig and Round-wound strung J-Basses & some Active basses, my preference in recent years has recently gravitated towards a warmer, more "organic"-type sound, through the V4B/SVT212 with mostly passive Fender basses, now strung mostly with EB Slinky Flats.

Also, originally preferring light strings, over the years I've transitioned to med-lights, and now prefer 105 - 50, if available.

Generally, I've gravitated toward 12s over 10s or 15s - have for years (other than the "SWR" era).

At times, you search for the sound in your head. Other times, you just know it when you hear it. Right now I'm leaning towards the latter.
