For me the roasted neck is the difference.
I heard that it is coming with more of a chunkier Pbas neck, but I'm not 100% sure
The lightest Sire P bass that I've owned was 9.2 pounds and that was a 5 string.

I don't know for sure, but I would figure they stay with the standard neck used on the V and P series basses
That's ok. The roasted maple are really a joy to play.
