  • About

    Gender:
    Male
    Location:
    Vancouver Island, British Columbia
    Occupation:
    Retired
    Current Setup:
    Currently playing: G&L L2500, Zon Sonus Custom 5, G&L LB-100, Sadowsky Metro HPJ(4), Fender MIM P(4);Aguilar TH500, Eden WT400, Ampeg PF50T; Ampeg B100R, Bassman 100; Baer ML-112 and BagEnd D15, Eden 2x10T (rarely used).
For the little playing out I do, the 50T and the Baer ML12 is plenty, but I do like to have the BagEnd under the ML12; it gets the ML12 off of the ground and gives me more volume if needed.
    Favorite Genres:
Blues, Country, Rock, and Motown. I like Doug and the Slugs, John Cougar, Jamerson most anything, I like music that is a little edgy or funky.
    Gigs and Ensembles:
I'm presently looking to play out 4 to 6 (give or take) times a year, group dependent.
    Previously Owned Gear:
Godin BG5, this bass was too uncomfortable for me, it would "cut" into my chest on the right side and it became irratating even after putting the bass down after a couple of hours.
Eden XST 410, sounded beautiful, good bottom end and with Eden WT400 glassy highs and
smooth bottom, the weight got a little too much, 95lbs for my 60 YO back.
Brice Fretless 5er, I couldn't get over the weight of that thing, must have been 11+ lbs.
    G.A.S. List:
Sadowsky NYC 5er with a P pickup, or a Dingwall Super P with a bridge pickup; and oh ya, a winning lottery ticket!
    Influences and Teachers:
Lots, but Jamerson stands out; or he's outstanding.
    Hobbies and Interests:
Cooking Indian cuisine and making Cold processed soap, and researching on the net to death for most anything.

    Signature

    BrentB
Fender Fless 4VM; Fender MIM P 4; Sadowsky Metro HPJ 4; Zon Sonus Custom 5 (gets regular play).
    Aguilar TH500, Eden WT400; BaerML12; BagEnd 15D; Eden 210T;
Ampeg B100R; SWR BabyBlueII; Fender BassMaster 100 (I use this for a Roland TD-15 drum set).
