Writing now as "Maxie:" I'm a 45-year-old transwoman, pre-op. I 'awakened' over the summer of 2014, in a bath of fire so to speak as many such as I do. My life disintigrated around me, and I found my real self standing in the ruins, blinking and terrified.
But, I'm on day 5 of living full-time as a woman, and yes I still play bass and yes I still kick its ass . . gelac nails give me an awesome tone.
