I don't try to play like them, but bassists who caught my ear early on were John Entwistle, John Paul Jones, Chris Squire, and Geddy Lee...Oteil Burbridge and George Porter for a time...Reed Mathis from Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey...Saw Bill Dickens play live once and actually got misty. :-)
