- Occupation:
- Musician, Artist
- Current Setup:
- Bass #1: Zon VB 6 customized, hand-wound Bartolini pickups, ridiculously low action. Bass #2: inexpensive Ibanez mahogany 6 SDGR, also has ridiculously low action. Amp: Mesa Engineering M9 Carbine paired with (most of the time) SWR 6x10" Goliath Sr., or occasionally a Mesa Powerhouse Jr. road cab, or a 4x10" Mesa bass cab. The SWR 6x10" sounds the best, clearest, warmest, and punchiest. :) Beats the mesa cabs for quality tone.
- Favorite Genres:
- Melodic progressive metal-fusion, funk, classical (romantic); avant garde odd timey stuff. . .
- Gigs and Ensembles:
- I Seek Oblivion, Kythira (baby projects)
- Previously Owned Gear:
- Pedulla Thunderbass 6 in vintage cherry; black / white Fender Jazz and Precision basses; Ovation Magnum vintage (weighed a ton); Alembic 6 string; Tobias.
- G.A.S. List:
- The lightest amplifier on the planet that sounds exactly like an all-tube head -- and some badass neodymium speakers that I can lift by myself (instead of my amazing-sounding but incredibly heavy 6x10" cab, etc). Also a Carvin-Kiesel 6-string NTB anything! ...or 7-string ...in cobalt / ultramarine blue and/or "cobalt violet." ...with ridiculously low action. :) which doesn't weight a ton... and a super hot roadie and personal massage therapist. Maybe even a Ritter. Does anyone know whether they support really low-low-low action? :D
