    Ha, this solved the problem! I run them and preamp into some cheep Behringer mixer and the sound became much better and more tweekable. Thanks...

    They are fine. I lowered the volume and they still sound crappy. Are there any headphones that will provide better experience?

    Can I use effect return as standard line-in?

    To answer myself. This version has "paralel" effect loop by default. So one can use effect loop in as aux in. I tested it and it works great....
