    Influences and Teachers:
First real influence was Stu Hamm and his tapping, I had only been playing a few months when i found out about this guy. The bass i had at the time was cheap but played very very well had stupidly low but good action allowing me to really tap. Got bored of that and tried to get into this slap business, listened to the must Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten. But my biggest influence was the jazz group i was playing with when i started. I had only been playing a few weeks when their bass player left so they asked me to learn the pieces a week before a major national competition. The pieces werent too bad, a samba piece which was really fast. A standard blues and a piece called "Cute" i forget who its by. But this had a 32 bar bass solo in 5 FLATS!! not good seeing as i didnt even know where the notes were at this point. But i has so much encouragement from my band that i did. I learnt the solo and we went on to win the competition. For the whole before hand i sat in my room with a chart showing me where all the notes were and learnt it. then tried playing the peices and it just came naturally. Thats when i realise im a bass player.
