Back in love with my 1979 P Bass after trying but failing to become a guitar player. I am sooo in love with this bass it's not even funny. She currently has Fender custom 62 pups installed. I just started looking around to get the original 79 pups re-wound as they haven't been in the bass for a couple decades and are quite dead. This is its fourth neck: a brand new quarter sawn Warmoth super bass neck. Holy crap. It's very, very nice to play on this neck. I suppose I could save some weight by switching out the solid brass pick guard but I just can't: it's really part of this basses personality and it's been on it since I bought it.
I've owned this bass since 1984.Interact
