If one could design an optimal bass amp for studio use....
Well, Jess Oliver did. This B15 reissue is a solid contender!
If you by chance find a used one, RUN to purchase it after you've sold your kids to raise enough cash to cover it!
Solid as a ROCK!
My Bass tracks have been notably remarked upon by several people hearing my mixes.
I fins it a very pleasing analog old school tone!
I have NEVER regretted this purchase.
I've owned it a couple years now maybe.
I ONLY use it for recording tracks. It gets no other use.
I'm trying to keep it absolutely mint.
Ampeg should re-continue this series in my estimation.
For now, it's a Classic!
Real Analog Bass Tones
- 5/5, 5 out of 5, reviewed Oct 22, 2016
- Build Quality:
- + All there is, is 'pros'. There are no bad features whatsoever. It's built like a Sherman Tank, and not a rattle to be found! Cabinet is a flawless piece of work. Far better quality than the old originals even. Amp/top plate fit like the proverbial glove. This is a premium analog Bass Amplifier for recording.
- - Far as a Bass recording amps go, I really couldn't find any 'cons'. The build quality is stellar, the sound is vintage B15, the dependability is top notch. Amp case is solid steel. Tube set steel vented cover with removable thumb nuts. AMPEG TUBE AMPS!
