    • + Good DI for the money. Good at getting a reasonably good imitation of an Ampeg amp out of a Hartke.
    Cons
    • - Would prefer a parametric EQ.
I originally got this for a rehearsal so I wouldn't have to lug my bass cab. Since then I also discovered it is very useful for tone shaping. When I gig out it is used with a Hartke 3500 head. I keep the EQ on the head off and use the Ampeg DI to adjust low, mid and hi levels.

    • + Ampeg tone in a pedal. Solid construction and lots of nice features.
I use mine mostly for recording and practice with headphones. It has a lot of nice tone shaping features. The only thing it doesn't have compared to say a PF500 is the 5 position mid-range sweep. It has the Ultra Low and Ultra Hi, also a nice and quiet DI. The scrambler feature is your typical overdrive distortion like every other pedal. All in all I really like mine.
