    • + Long life, great tone and easy on the fingers
    Cons
    • - Not great for slap style.
I use these on my '76 Fender Jazz. They provide great tone and and are easy on the fretboard as well as your fingers. I change them out when it's hard to keep them in tune. I play in a blues band and these provide the best tone for that genre of music.

    • + Feel Tone Other bassists don't like playing my bass
    Cons
    • - none
Bought these after a finger injury and I found round wounds too "rough" on some sensitive finger nerves. Never like flat wound strings. Half rounds are a nice median. Still a bit slippery like flats but still punchy and bright like rounds. Restrung all my basses with these string and don;t think I'll ever switch. Also keeps other bassists away from my bass: ("These strings feel weird"). That's a pro for me!
