    • + Only 3 control buttons which are very effective
    • + Comes in mini or full size versions

    • - Full size version has nothing on the bottom to prevent sliding
    • - Battery compartment screw on bottom can damage floor if not on pedaltrain
    I was a huge Russian Pickle Fuzz fan until I bought this EHX Big Muff. The RP is great but the EHX Big Muff gives my bass more or less clarity and a wider range of fuzz/distortion tones.

    Backstory - I've been gassing to try the Big Muff for my guitar to see how it stands up against the gain channel on my tube amp. As much as I tried to convince myself to keep it I couldn't justify using it for guitar because the gain channel on my Vox tube amp can't be beat. It's just hands down the best. So, I ran my bass through the big muff and my Rumble 100. Wow! I couldn't believe how incredible it sounded. There's a reason why the Big Muff has been around forever... Now I know forsure.

    BTW - I didn't get the compact mini big muff. I got the full size in yo face BIG MUFF. The buttons are big enough for me to make adjustments with my foot.
