I bought this model usedback in 2003. The bass was made in 2000. It's a natural finish and 5 strings version.
The looking, the sound... Everything with this bass is just great.
So great I decided to buy another one in 2014, a model from 2002, teal green finish.
I've heard many times this bass brigs you on the Sadowsky land. I never tried a Sad, but I can say it's in no way a standard Fender bass.
I tried other models, other brand, but always came back the this beauty.

Pros- + Huge variety of tones, vintage and modern, great neck profile,
Cons- - pre amp mid range control needed some help, turned down, the overalll volume of the bass dropped dramatically. Knowing that, easily worked around,
This bass became my go-to bass because its so versatile, from modern to vintage P and J bass tones... even venturing in Stingray territory.

Pros- + Beautiful HUMBUCKER Versatility 18v Preamp
Cons- - Not a fan of P Necks Discontinued
Firstly, Im not a Precision guy. Ive owned a few precisions and could never get into them, mostly because of the neck. All that set aside; WOW. Fender knocked it out of the park with this model. The hum bucker coupled with the P pickup and the 18v preamp is a match worth of recognition. It's an extremely versatile bass that can produce any sound you may be looking for. I owned the Sunburst model and I kick myself for selling it every time i see one.
