Not specially small but surprisingly light and very powerful for 40W. You need to push it before reaching the distorting point. Not for gig but it can handle a practice with a band: my former drummer plays really loud but he could heard me.
The power is here and the quality also: it's an all-round combo that could handle modern or vintage styles with a nice sound quality. It can't go as deep in low ends as a 12" or a 15" speaker but it has some.
The overdrive is not my favorite one, I prefer this amp without.
If your looking for a good practice combo, go for it. Of course, you have much better ones but for the price, you won't regret this one. But it's not a combo intended to be bringing on stage.
