    Cons
    • - No passive mode tone control
    • - Floppy battery compartment door

After I got the 5 string JJ Version a few weeks ago and made a review about it, I finally good the 4 String PJ brother today.

The built quality is just as superb as on the JJ. Roasted maple neck with rolled edges, compound radius and cut aways making this thing unbelievable playable.

The Reverse P compliments the more bright, in some ways aggressive sound very good. I say aggressive sound, but beware, as I showed in my JJ review video, the 3 Band eq has a broad range and can tame this wild beast. Those DiMarzios are just marvelous.
I admit, It's a bit of a strange feeling - I never played a Reverse P before - so my right hands feels a pickup where it isn't expected. But that's just a thing of getting used too.

The neck unlike the 35" 5 string version has 34", but the known HiMass bridge and the graph tech TUSQ nut gives you all the sustain you want.

The two little nitpicks I had with the JJ are staying:

The bass is highest quality built, but the battery compartment door is cheap and windy. I am in constant fear of breaking it.

And it still has no tone control in passive mode. This bass screams to be played in in active, so it is no big deal for me. But It's still a strange design choice for an modern day bass.

I will post a video showing off the different sounds and setting. I keep you updated.

Others are complaining of a lot of distortion in active mode. DId you see that?
