Pros- + VERY comfortable, and affordable. EMGs
Cons- - Passive
This bass is the most comfortable thing Ive ever played! Its like it was sculpted to fit me. No matter how i hold the bass when I play it is always comfortable. The neck feels great with all 24 frets for us Cliff Burton wannabes. Having passive EMGs isnt really that bad they sound active and bring a lot of punch to the party. This is a GREAT bass.

Pros- + Good Price, Good Sound, Tonal Variety, Nice Neck
Cons- - Passive
When looking for a new bass I had a list of basses i wanted to try out, this Spector was one of them, just from looks and reputation it had to be a winner
I compared this bass to a Yamaha BB604, Warick Rockbass Corvette, Ibanez BTB (basic model) and a Washburn with a MM pickup.
In terms of comfort while playing nothing even came close to the spector, its neck was the perfect size for me (pretty skinny compared to the Yamaha) and the body was the perfect shape
With sound, although its passive the spector has massive ammount of tones, the Yamaha had lots of different tones as well but sounded a bit fake and electronic for my liking.
So all in all, the Spector Performance Series bass was the one for me, great for a second bass, it was $400 cheaper than the Yamaha but easily better.MoonChild2112 likes this.
