    • + Lightweight and capable all round bass amp

I bought the BG250-112 when it first came out. I use it for upright and electric basses. It works great in every setting. Medium volume to kind of loud bands are no problem for this amp. It can't hang with 2 Marshall stacks blasting on 11, but it can hang with a loud-ish club band. Works really well for upright bass with lower volume acoustic bands. I use it as my monitor for larger stages and showrooms when going direct. It easily handles all my club gigs. Going strong for 3 years now without a glitch.

    • + Lightweight and decent power
    Cons
    • - Did not like the tone no matter hat the EQ setting was
    Very lightweight and good size.
Decent amount of power for acoustic gigs or practice.

I could not get a good tone out of this amp to save my life.
The EQ is unusual but I think the real issue is cabinet tuning or driver choice.
There are a number of threads that offer EQ suggestions (or outboard EQ) to make it sound differently.
I kept mine a week and have never missed it

Bought it used and it was dead mint for $150. Sold for $185 to a local shop.

    Good small amp

    • + Lightweight
    Cons
    • - OK tone, the TonePrint feature wasn't all that useful
Nice smaller amp in a decent form factor. Lightweight, can carry with one hand down a set of stairs easily. Volume good for rehearsal or small club. TonePrint feature didn't seem to work properly.

I've been using this amp 4-6 days a week for over 2 years. I bought it as practice combo which later on was promoted to my outdoor gig amp. Great sound, super light and rigid. I spilled all kinds of liquids on it and still it performs great in 100F down to 38F weather. Greats sounding out which I recorded hundreds times. Highly recommended.

    • + Light weight, looks good, GREAT additional features.
    Cons
    • - A bit muddy tone, lack of headroom, EQ hard to get used to.
Got this combo secondhand, not much used and in great condition. Got warned from seller that it has "chinese 250W", didn't really understand what he meant until I bought it to a loud rehersal.
This combo just couldn't keep up. With gain set properly (up until clip light comes on, than back down a little) and even EQ flat, amp would cut-out for a few seconds with master set on 6.
Combo sounds OK when master is set on 4 or lower, a bit muddy but OK, EQ is unusual and takes a little to get used to, but works. Seems to me it was adapted for Jazz type of bass.
Features are GREAT! Tuner is very good and gig-worthy, and 2xTonePrint effects are future! Good job TC, keep working.
All in all, I could recomend this combo to home and small coffeshop musician - if they dig vintage-sounding equipment. Anything louder than that, even loud rehersal, and this combo won't cut it.

    I have actually 2 BG250-115 combos.

    I simply love them.
Awesome value for the actual product.
It can easily feed a place with about 400/500 people with lots of quality bass.
    I definitely recommend it.

    Cons
    • - Cheaply built, Pricey
The amp has a lot of features. None of which I will ever use. Blue Tooth, Tone Prints and USB connections are no features I will ever use, but I guess they are nice. The 250w amp gives a good response even with my 5 string. The tuner works well and is a great additional feature. The Tolex is super thin and tears very easily. The overall weight is super light and very nice in that regard. Bass Mid and Treble controls are easy to read and simple to work out.
