What is the "sought after" era? Is my '03 any good?

They are all good, but somtime in 2003 he changed the circuits (although he won't admit it). This change was considered by many including myself to lead to lesser bass response in the sound. If yo have one of these (which I did at one time) I think it will have a serial number that ends with a - 1 or -2 in it (can't remember).

Are you calling Walter a liar?

Nope...it was the SOUND that I was referring to but indeed I stated it poorly above. Allow me to clarify...
"Many" feel an audible change occurred in 03 which one might then assume was related to apparent layout differences observed internally and documented with photos elsewhere on this site. To my knowledge though, Walter does not feel the sound has changed. I have owned both and feel otherwise. That said, circuits change all the time in designs, and it's the designer's right to do so.

Is this the same as the Phil Jones Acoustic / Electric amp. If not, what is the difference?

    Thanks.

    It's called the Electracoustic

  14. +1.... if you take the top off of a 2000-early 2003 model versus post 2003 model, they are VERY different inside... different components and design. In my A/Bing, I too believe that the 2000-early 2003 models have more low end ooomph and fatness to the sound than the newer models (which also sound great).

    And... bump!
