You’re in a bar with a jukebox and you get 4 songs for a dollar. If you piss off more than 1/3 of the bar, you’re 86ed for life. What do you play?

AC/DC; if the bar patrons can’t dig it, I don’t need to be in that bar.

I guess that all depends on where and what kind of bar it is.

I think 4 songs in a row by any band would piss most people off. But I could be wrong.

  7. Care to enlighten us before more give you the "wrong" answer?
  8. I think one of the wrong answers was mine. I read too quickly and I thought I was supposed to tick off 1/3 of the bar. After the week I've had, the idea really appealed to me. :D

I realized my error within a minute and quickly deleted (but not quickly enough apparently :roflmao:).

So is the goal to be 86ed for life? If so, why not just walk out and never go back.

  12. 1. Iron Butterfly's "Inagodadavida" the full length. (We will be a drummin' on the bar/table.)

    2. The Descendents "Everything Sux". (Feeling the mood of the day.)

    3. Eric Clapton's "Wonderful tonight". (To feel the current mood of the night after these songs.)

    4. Tchaikovsky's "The 1812 Overture". (Going out with a bang.)

The question reminds me of a time when I was way younger, out with a bandmate, and a woman behind us was complaining about everything. And then ACDC came on the juke box and she complained about that.

Some time passes, we are drunk, ready to leave, it's late, it's quiet but for the woman complaining, and my bandmate says, "give me a dollar." I do and he leaves and then hustles back to the table and tells me to get my coat quick. He played Hells Bells four times. We leave and the bells are still playing as we cross the threshold.

    1- Barbie Girl by Aqua
    2- Barbie Girl by Aqua
    3- Heroes by David Bowie
    4- Barbie Girl by Aqua

Wait, what kind of jukebox? Vinyl, CDs or digital?
I’ve looked for a 7” copy of Barbie Girl for a few years now and they’re non existent to my knowledge. If it is a vinyl jukebox, I need to rethink my answer...

I was DJing a few years ago and had a Prince remix on and this lady came to the booth and said “can you not play old school hip hop anymore?” She had a brand new drink in her hand so naturally, I followed with Run DMC and Naughty By Nature and saw her slowly but angrily finish her drink and leave.

Do I have to spell it out any clearer?

    Play 4 songs.
    Don't be an ***.
    An average bar crowd.

What do you play on the jukebox?

Wait... is it 2/3 or 3/4 of the bar? I was at a bar last night with 2 people. What if there are only 2 people in the bar?
