1 MEG Pot for YBA-3

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by bassboysam, Oct 14, 2005.

  1. I need to replace the "bass" pot on my YBA-3, the schematic says it has a value of 1 MEG but do I need to get a linear pot or audio pot?

If it's for a bass active electronic, I highly doubt it is 1 meg. Check again, and maybe show us the schematic.

For the most part volume pots are audio taper, tone controls linear taper.

    There's a YBA-3 schematic here: http://www.lynx.bc.ca/~jc/traynorSchmArchive.html

1 meg linear pot, if your amp is similar to the model in the schematic. That's a common value for tube amps. See where it says "L" under the value? It'd say "A" for an audio taper one.
