It was stored in a vault!
I wouldn't pay $10 dollars for that! They should be ashamed of themselves!

    Who's Dana??!!!

    Didn't you read the ad:
"This guitar will be set-up by the Master Dana himself to your playing specs. so you know it will play and sound great!"

    He's the "Master"!!! :)

  6. how can you not know the master Dana himself?

anyways, it says that they love trade ins, so i might offer them my $17,500 MIM fender fretless jazz that has jaco's finger grease rubbed all over the fretboard...
  7. What is most awesome, as seen in the pictures, is the engraving is under where the bridge sits too, so you don't have direct coupling to the body....but p'shaw.

    That auction is "hiss-terical".

Well, here's a Westone information page. Looks like a "Quantum" to me. Apparently, the carving is worth about $8800.
  9. They will GLADLY ship to Indonesia
  10. "hiss-terical". . . . . . :D

    Yeah, so, . . . . . .where's the pickup on it? Am I missing something? . . . . . . .

could be like the variax bass, with the pickup underneath the surface. Or they expect you to route out your "beautifully" carved bass to throw in some pups.

You're all missing the fact that it's the first and only bass of its kind, in "HISS-TORY"! And no bids, yet?!?!?!?

BTW, I have a Line6 Bass Pod pro. I'll let it go for $42,000. Only time in hiss-tory I'll offer this deal.

I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
A little reverence here, folks. Obviously the luthier has achieved legendary status - the use of the single name epithet "Dana" should be enough to provide evidence of such.

All hail the exhalted Dana, who can now stand proidly and triumphantly alongside such other one-name luminaries as Madonna, Cher and Seal!
  17. What I was thinking was - he spent all that time engraving it, and he forget to chisel out the Westone logo. If he'd remember to do that, it would look a little less absurd.

Who do you think would win in a steel cage, death match between Master Dana and Zamfir, Master of the Pan Flute?
