.100-.45. which brand offers this gauge with the lightest tension?

    The rotosounds I use are .105-.45 and in my opinion, have a real light tension. Good for bending strings a whole step! They're sort of an acquired taste though, you have to like the grindy tone they give you, ala John Entwistle Live At Leeds sound. But otherwise, give them a try. You'll like them !
     
  3. I thought Rotosounds have the highest tension. If you want lighter tension, try Ernie Ball Slinkys, or any other Nickel strings.
     
  4. I'm with alcan60283 on this one. I think Rotosound swingbass feels lighter in tension compared to Slinkies. But if you want really low tension I think it's hard to beat DR Highbeams or Sunbeams. Especially if you go for 100-45.
