Cool. Thanks for the link.
I honestly was bored to tears until Oteil stepped in...
Thanks for the link. I just don't find a multitude of bassists all playing together at the same time to be that pleasant of a sound... just my opinion. keep the flames to yourself folks.
Neat tone from Sheehan, then again, I like it gritty...
OMG how does Billy Sheehan get that squeal?
Nice. Thanks for the link .
By the way i didn't recognize all of them . There was:
I'm the same on the other 2.Some guy playing four string Jazz type bass and another with an extdended range bass.
From left to right:
what file is that? i can't get it to play (i feel old)
i got it
Hit a artificial harmonic, but hit it from an angle so it's not a pure tone.
oteil is so melodic
They need to separate Bill Dickens and Billy Sheehan. Couple of shred heads that night.
what a load of crap!!! indulgent latent Guitar players who have forgotton how to play good solid bass lines .
another discription i can think of is "Musical Masturbation"
Dude, it's like a drum solo. You're just jealous.
been playing too long to be jeolous, of self indulgence
I dunno, I was kinda bored during most of it. There were some parts that were cool, but I dunno, just grabbed me as like, man when's this going to be over heh...maybe I just don't appreciate it?
Not sure what to think of it. I wish they had shown tony levin doing some crazy stuff, you barely see him. To me, when you have bass virtuoso's like them playing solo, lots of it begins to sound the same to my ears. No doubt there was some killer chops and melodies in that video though.
I really like these videos from Bills site.. I think Oteil and Bill take the show though.. Only thing I dont like is Bill's slap thing where he just goes crazy and has no pitch at all to it.. Just sounds like a bunch of mush.
