150 Bass Brands, 101 Basses & Over 900 Companies Making Basses

    Hi all,

    Almost two years ago I set out to play 101 Basses over a two year period. I've got about two weeks and couple of basses to go, so I'd thought I'd share the links if anyone is interested in watching the count down to number 101.

    The main website with over 900 Brands of Basses is Terri's Bass-Aholic.com And, yes, I've created a web page with links and photos for every single one of them.

    Between the blog and the website, there's been close to 350,000 page views and there are about 150 unique visitors per day.

    There have been a number of Talk Bass members that have contributed piles of information to the cause. There are three in particular that have been there for most of the ride. I'd like to thank everyone for their support. And especially those three that continued to provide support for such a long time.

    The original Talk Bass thread was 150 Bass Brands which was closed after over 1000 responses and continued as Part 2.

    I've also gotten to know a number of builders and even visited a few of them. There's are lots of you out there that have given support and accolades to the project. To the one's I haven't yet visited, I still want to play your basses. You guys rock. Without you the bass world would be so boring.

    How have you done this without passing out due to GAS exposure? I probably would've been done in around number 3. :D

    Are you on track to finish the challenge? I think you'd given yourself a May 1 deadline to try all 101 basses - six to go, yes? Which will they be?

    The deadline date is May 6, 2012. Will I finish on time? What will they be? You'll just have to watch to find out! ;)
