1880 3/4 German Bass for Sale

    ¾ Size German Bass (ca. 1884).
    It is in good condition and has recently had around $2000 of upgrades including a new extended fingerboard (to a high "A" on the g-string), a new soundpost, a new nut, a new tension block, a new nylon tailpiece cord, and an angled Laborie endpin (the straight endpin can still be used). All of this work was performed by Mario Lamarre in Montreal in August 2004. String length of 42” (106.7cm). Will include wheel and custom-designed soft case. Asking $9000 o.b.o.

    Contrebasse allemande ¾ (ca. 1884).
    Elle est en bon état et a récemment reçu $2000 d'améliorations comprenant une nouvelle touche de trois octaves, une nouvelle âme, un nouvel écrou, un bloc de tension, une corde de talon en nylon, et une pique à angle Laborie (c'est aussi possible d'utiliser la pique droite). Ce travail a été réalisé par Mario Lamarre à Montréal au mois d'août 2004. La longueur des cordes est de 106.7cm (42”). Une roue et une caisse molle créée specifiquement pour cette basse sont aussi incluses. $9000, négociable.
