I live in Connecticut and I have a King Bass for sale. According to the serial number, it should be from the 1920s. Cosmetically, it has a few boo-boos, because it used to be a school instrument (i.e: frayed trimmings, paint marks), but there is nothing structurally problematic. It has a nice big bright sound. There is a slight neck buzz in the Eb-E-F range on the G-string, but if you play with a reasonable action, it dissapears. The bridge is also a little warped, but not drastically. I'm asking $1,700 firm for it, and I am not interested in shipping the instrument. Either e-mail me at Chudweiser@aol.com, or call me at (860) 649-6007.
