1930s Carved Czech 3/4 flatback - Los Angeles

  1. Bright and punchy, warm and resonant, fully carved bass.
    Vintage sound, Gamba shape, European craftsmanship.

    Label reads: "Copy of Antonius Stradivarius
    Made in Czecho Slovakia"

    Thoroughly restored, including:
    - hide glue and cleats used to seal all cracks
    - new neck (from aged stock), healthy ebony fingerboard
    - new de luxe Aubert bridge, with easy adjusters

    Extra features:
    - Underwood pickup
    - fresh Tomastik Spiracore - orchestra ("reds") strings
    - French bow (student level)

    Dimensions:
    - 20 1/4" upper bout
    - 15" middle bout
    - 24 1/2" lower bout
    - "D" neck
    - 41 1/2" string length (nut to bridge)

    This bass is worth more, but it's one more bass than I can keep.

    Price is $5,000.
