A very rare 1935 King Mortone upright bass. This bass has the original fingerboard and tail piece. The fingerboard was dressed at the Bass Violin shop and is in excellent condition. The bass has a new bridge and new harmony carbon fiber endpin. The bass currently has a K&K pickup on it and sounds amazing. It's super loud and easy to play. The bass has been through a lot but is super solid.

The H.N. White company started making these basses in 1934, and the American standards in 1936, making this the second year of production. These were the rivals to Kay and actually predates Kay by a couple of years.

    $4000 obo
