Extremely rare and difficult to find, I have two different vintage American Standard backs for sale.

1)#1 is from 1938, #632, in average minus cosmetic condition missing some outside veneer and the usual scratches. The inside had some rough areas so it has several sections that were replaced with spruce veneer and glue in with hot hide glue on the big shop vacuum press and moulds. The button has been cut down slightly by a prior owner. Priced at a fair $450. Rode hard cosmetically, but who cares- it is a 1938 American Standard; the sound is huge.

    2) #2 is from 1957, #2284, in very good overall condition, some normal wear and a couple of small sections of outside laminate missing. The button is intact and solid. $650

Either one will restore a great instrument. Go for the stubby button if you are doing a removable neck conversion or the larger one if you have a fixed neck.

'Cleaning out some of the surplus parts to make room for new incoming projects. I also have the C bouts, a complete but well used neck and fingerboard, and plenty of misc. parts available.

'Will consider possible partial trades for a 1966 Ampeg Gemini 1 or Reverberocket 1 combo amp, Spatial Delivery Pedal, Industry 9 245 29er wheelset, or a week at your place in Costa Rica.

    Thanks for looking,
    j.
