Extremely rare, coveted, and almost impossible to find; most people buy a whole bass to get one of these for a restoration. 1938 American Standard upright bass top, serial number 632, in very good structural condition no sagging or sinking from bridge or soundpost. Three digit prewar American Standards age getting very difficult to find. Bassbar is solid and has had end grafts overlayed and all work done with hot hide glue. A couple of places had some delamination issues so I grafted in spruce on the big shop vacuum press & moulds. 'Basically plug 'n play. DSCN3922.JPG DSCN3924.JPG DSCN3925.JPG DSCN3926.JPG DSCN3931.JPG This and the back came from an old bass that was in for overhaul and were prepped for going back out in the trenches but the rib cancer delamination that was so bad that it was disassembled and parted out. I also have the clean original tailblock and the C bouts available.

Offered up here for $700 or consider partial trade for a nice 1966 Ampeg Gemini 1 or Reverberocket 1 combo amp, Spatial Delivery pedal, a pair of Industry 9 245 29er wheels, or a week at your place in Costa Rica.

    Thx for looking.
