    This is a good example of the early ('37-'40) X pattern used on C- and O-series basses, with more shading at the blocks and C-bouts and higher contrast than in later years. Restorers and detail geeks should also note that the tribar decal is yellow/gold, not white like the current repops.

    Oh my goodness that's a beauty!! I've been looking for a Kay like that and they seem to be few and far between up here in the PacNW! Congrats on picking that up!
