A very nice Fender1951 Precision Bass reissue in butterscotch blonde with Fender tweed case.
These basses are getting more and more rare these days since fender japan stopped production 5 years ago. This bass has some small nicks in the body from moving around but the neck is flawless. Bass comes strung with Chromes (flatwounds) with nice low action and sets up easily with any string type/ gauge and truss rod works fine.

The only "condition" issue to note are the double punched holes for the bridge cover. I used a smaller bell cover (from a 57 P Bass) with foam a few years ago.

    Bass Specifications:
1.625 nut width, Slab ash body with nice grain, 9.5 lbs, dunlop straplocks (installed), Lindy Fralin hum cancelling single coil pickup (installed.)
Under the control plate are full sized CTS pots, a Sprague Vitamin Q oil filled cap which help to really open up the sound of this bass.
These additions required the control cavity to be widened slightly which was done cleanly and all covered by the control plate. The pickup and pot cavities have been shielded with copper for very quiet single coil operation, if desired. The bridge has been upgraded to a modern Fender top loader or string through body type and the feeble cup type input jack has been upgraded to a switchcraft and steel plate type.
This bridge allows more string choices (such as my favorite flats-Chromes.)

Note: Original Bridge and Fender Vintage Pickup will be included.

Price includes shipping to lower 48
