For sale: 1962 Kay M-1 bass serial #44995. Rare dark color finish with rosewood fingerboard. Features include high quality bridge with adjusters, newer soundpost and deluxe endpin. Strung with Labella Supernil strings. I also had the late, great George Chestnut convert the dovetail to a solid block inside the neck so it is similar to a high quality European carved bass in that respect. This conversion by itself cost almost $1000 dollars and is reflected in the asking price. I am only the second owner of this bass, the first owner had it for it's first 40 years. The neck has never been broken and the body is in excellent condition. Asking $3500 no trades. PM me with any questions or to set up an appointment to play the bass. Thank you.
