  2. Not even. If you burn that thing, it would stink up the place.
  3. Big time. Make a table out of it, just not a bass.

I'm amazed that anybody would have the balls to ask that price for this. I wonder if he's serious or just trying it on.

Does anybody really believe that the magic number "1963" can turn a hunk of total junk like this into something special?

Doesn't surprise me in the least. I'm starting to see early 80's instruments being sold as "vintage" at ridiculous markups.

It's not "vintage". It's just old.

Calling that POS firewood is an insult to firewood everywhere.
  8. At astronomy they did a good job filling the neck pup cavity. You can't evem tell anything was there... -_-"

I will keep collecting until I have 40 basses
I say make an offer for $9.99 ... who knows you can always use another piece of firewood.

Someone thought it was a good idea to add a mudbucker to a P AND had both a J and P pup in the bridge position at some point? Who here thinks drugs were involved in the modification of this bass?

There is a 'make offer button' so maybe all TBers should each make an offer of $1 ;)

After about a thousand or so of these $1 offers, he might get the point, lol :D

I bet JohnK_10 could fix it up.

    A couple of things.

It looks like it was Lake Placid blue at the start.
It's had 20 offers made on it, all of which were declined.
The first offer was from March, 2010.

So I'm guessing the seller is serious about the price. The most I'd give is 100 dollars, if that.
  19. In all seriousness I would pay $100 for that, fill in the routes, give it a very thin laminate top and a nice finish, and rock it. It deserves to be rescued and probably does have some mojo. I've seen bodies in much worse shape than that get repaired and look beautiful.
