Here is a beautiful 1967 Guild Starfire 1 bass with the highly desirable original Hagstrom pickup. Amazing bass that has that woody tone yet with an amazing full range with this pickup. Red finish is aged just right, and the playability is excellent with a set of TI flats on her. Dark rosewood board. Comes with newer Guild case.

The only issue is a headstock repair from who knows how far back over it’s 50 year life. Neck seems very stable, and it stays in tune as well as any other bass I’ve owned. A local luthier I buy from looked it over, and he said it seems solid to him as well. If it didn’t have the repair, this would be a $2K bass.

The ONLY reason I am thinking of letting it go is that the neck profile is so narrow, I have an issue jumping from it to my C width P bass. If you like skinny fast necks, this will be perfect. As is, this is a great playing vintage Guild with the Hagstrom for a great price!

    $1050 shipped CONUS!!

Might be interested in trades for a Ric 4003s, 62/64 RI Jazz, or Nash J. Maybe a B15?

Price reduction!! Neck is perfectly stable and this bass plays really nice. TI flats are a great fit!
